Bag-emptying machine – Stainless steel for pharmaceutical purpose

Our fully automatic standard bag-emptying machine empties granulate filled bags of 25Kg. Pallets can manually be fed into the lift at the front or sides. After placing the pallet into the lift, the lift will transport the pallet upwards to a shuttle with integrated grippers. The integrated grippers will grab a layer of 5 bags of the pallet and ride this to the emptying process. Here the shuttle will drive the bags over rotating blades and a unique shaker system. This unique shaker system will ensure that the bags will be emptied for 99.98%. the product will be collected in the product hopper.

In this situation the main control cabinet is located further away from the machine. When operating the operator would have little overview over the bag-emptying process.

Because operator do want this overview, we have equipped this bag-emptying machine with another control cabinet near the lift entrance. The entire emptying process can be monitored by means of the HMI on this control cabinet.

The capacity of these machines is between 10 and 30 tons per hour. This depends on the configuration of the machine and the product.

304 / 316 Stainless steel

This machine empties for medical purposes bags with ammonium sulphate. We adapted our bag-emptying machine to these specifications because ammonium sulphate is a corrosion aggressive product.

All parts that come into contact with this product during the emptying process are made of 316 stainless steel. All other parts that do not or hardly come into contact are made of 304 stainless steel, including all (main) control cabinets.

Screw compactor

The screw compactor is an efficient, cheap and eco-friendly solution.

The empty bags will fall via the empty bag hopper onto a short screw that is located inside a tube. The screw forces the bags through the tube into a bag that is clamped around the end of this tube with a special band. The pressure of the screw eventually compresses the bags about two thirds. A limit switch will detect if the screw compactor is full.

Platform with stairs and access door

Because ammonium sulphate is a corrosion aggressive product, the customers want to be able to replace, inspect or clean all parts located inside the product hopper. Due to this customer specific requirement, this machine is also equipped with a complete 304 stainless steel platform with access door. To gain access to this platform you need to request access this control cabinet is located near the specific door.
