Bag-emptying machine – High-capacity unit

Our fully automatic bag-emptying machine empties granulate filled bags of 25Kg. Pallets are placed at the front of the infeed conveyor with a forklift truck. After placing the pallet on the infeed conveyor, the conveyor will transport the pallet to the lift, the lift will transport the pallet upwards to a shuttle with integrated grippers. The integrated grippers will grab a layer of 5 bags of the pallet and ride this to the emptying process. Here the shuttle will drive the bags over rotating blades and a unique shaker system. This unique shaker system will ensure that the bags will be emptied for 99.98%. the product will be collected in the product hopper.

Pallet guide

Because this machine is designed to run high capacity, the pallets and bags must be well stacked, as an extra precaution, a pallet guide is designed at the beginning of the infeed conveyor, this ensures that the pallets with bags are properly aligned compared to the lift.

Pallet stacker

After emptying the whole pallet, the empty pallet will be transported to the pallet stacker. Here the pallet will be stacked to a maximum of 15 pallets or a desired setpoint. When this maximum or setpoint is reached the stacker will put the pallet stack on the conveyor where it can be picked up with a forklift.

Capacity

This model is designed to empty bags at a high capacity, this means that this machine is capable of emptying 1200 bags in an hour (30 Ton/hour).

With this project we have adjusted our empty bag hopper to the client specifications. This is because the client wanted to use their own existing mobile containers press.

Maintenance platform with stair and access door

Due to the high capacity, preventive maintenance, inspection and cleaning is necessary. To guarantee good access to these critical parts, ATS has designed a platform.

In addition to this platform, this machine is also equipped with interlocks from Fortress interlocks.

On the main control cabinet, a key is requested, this key can be used at the different doors to unlock a special safety key, this key can only be used at this specific door. The operator or mechanic takes this safety key with him when entering the platform / machine danger zone this ensures that the bag-emptying machine cannot be switched on from the outside by other employees.
